In cooperation with the Metropolitan Institute in Bratislava and the Capital City of Bratislava, an architectural competition was announced in March 2021, which resulted in winning designs for four footbridges near the Chorv\u00e1tske rameno in Petr\u017ealka.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The aim of the competition was to find a solution to improve the accessibility of public transport stops, especially the newly proposed tram stops, by creating comfortable and easy access. The solution should also appropriately enrich the area in question and thus contribute to utilizing the potential of the Croatian Arm as a local recreational zone. The proposed solution for the footbridges follows on from the project to extend the tram line from \u0160af\u00e1rik Square to Jan\u00edkov dvor, and the construction of the footbridges will be carried out in conjunction with the construction of the tram line.<\/p>\n\n

The first footbridge is planned in the section between Bos\u00e1kov\u00e1 and Rusovsk\u00e1 roads. The footbridge will connect to a network of cycle paths and sidewalks on the left bank of the Chorv\u00e1tske rameno and to Mlynarovi\u010dova Street on the right bank. The second and third footbridges are in the section between Rusovsk\u00e1 road and Romanov\u00e1 street, and both footbridges will be connected to the existing sidewalks along the water. The fourth footbridge will replace the current pontoon bridge and will connect the opposite banks of the Chorv\u00e1tske rameno The idea is to create a direct connection to Lake Ve\u013ek\u00fd Dra\u017ediak via a trail on the terrain, which will culminate in the form of a pier above the lake level. <\/p>\n\n

The jury selected from 29 proposals, with 8 proposals each for the first, second and third stages, and 5 proposals for the fourth stage. There were four separate design competitions with the same core task, which were announced at the same time and evaluated by one jury on a common date:<\/p>\n\n
